In case you were waiting for clarity, vivo has officially confirmed the launch of its next-generation premium-tier lineup, the Vivo X300 Ultra and Vivo X300 FE, in the country, following weeks of leaks and rumours. While the company hasn’t revealed an exact date yet, reports suggest the launch could take place on May 7th. This announcement is significant for two reasons. First, it marks the debut of Vivo’s “Ultra” series in the country, a category The company had previously reserved for China. Second, the X300 FE is teased to launch with a teleconverter, which is a first for the compact lineup.

Vivo announced the India launch of the X300 Ultra and X300 FE on its official X account. Since both phones have been teased at the same time, we can expect them to launch on the same day. Vivo has yet to reveal the official launch date, but it was previously reported that the X300 Ultra and X300 FE will debut in the country on May 7th. Shortly after, sales for the X300 Ultra will begin on May 14th, As per the same report.

The Vivo X300 Ultra is undoubtedly one of the most camera-focused smartphones of 2026. It houses a 200MP primary sensor, a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.7x optical zoom and up to 105x digital zoom, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP front camera. It even comes with a teleconverter support offering up to 17.4x optical zoom.

The Vivo X300 FE is available in Moonlight White, Cool Purple, and Graphite Black colours. in the country, This device is expected to arrive in Black, Purple, and Green, with the latter being exclusive to India. Vivo’s teaser image shows the X300 FE in green, confirming the earlier leak.
With the X300 Ultra, Vivo is finally bringing its most ambitious premium-tier to India, signalling a stronger push into the ultra-premium segment. At the same time, the X300 FE shows that The company is continuing its compact offering in the sub-premium-tier segment for people who want premium-tier power without oversized devices.
