If you missed the launch, realme has introduced the Buds Air8 Pro, its new premium-tier TWS earbud with stronger noise cancellation and dual‑DAC drivers

Realme has introduced the Buds Air8 Pro, a new premium-tier TWS earbud alongside the Realme 16T. The new earbuds are designed for people who want deeper noise cancellation, higher-resolution audio and better call clarity in the same compact package. The Buds Air8 Pro sit above the standard Buds Air 8 and offer several upgrades that make them more suited for music-focused, travel-heavy shoppers.

The buds are available for purchase starting at Rs 6,999 across its retail channels and e-commerce partners like Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, etc.

Realme Buds Air8 Pro: features

These earbuds offer up to 55dB of adaptive active noise cancellation, which means they can cut out a lot of background noise like street traffic, bus or train sounds and office chatter. The system can adjust how strong the noise‑blocking is depending on the surroundings, so it does not feel too heavy in quiet places like a library or home. With ANC turned off, Realme claims up to about 50 hours of battery life from the charging case, which is enough for several days of normal use, though the number goes down once ANC and high‑quality audio are turned on.

Sound quality is handled by a dual‑driver setup: one 11mm driver for bass and another 6mm driver for vocals and finer details. This product also supports hi‑res audio‑style Bluetooth (via LHDC), which can give a bit more clarity and depth when streaming from a compatible phone, as long as the source and app support it.

While the dual‑DAC drivers and LHDC support sound promising on spec sheets, how much clearer the sound actually feels will depend on the user’s phone, streaming app and personal sensitivity to fine audio changes. The Buds Air8 Pro also come with six microphones, including a bone‑conduction‑style mic, to keep the user’s voice clearer during calls even in noisy places.

These earbuds can connect to up to three devices at once, so you can switch between a phone, a laptop and a tablet without needing to remove them from the case and re-pair each time. The charging case is compact, USB‑C‑charged and easy to carry in a pocket or bag.

For people already using good TWS earbuds around Rs 5,000, the Realme Buds Air8 Pro will feel like a real upgrade mainly in noise cancellation. The outside noise blocks better, and the sound is a bit clearer and more controlled, but the difference will be small, not big, especially for casual listeners.

The Realme Buds Air8 Pro also costs more than the Oppo Enco Buds 3 Pro, which comes in at about Rs 5,999. Buyers who want slightly more features and better sound should look towards the Air8 Pro, while those on a tighter affordable may still find the Enco Buds 3 Pro a more practical choice with comparable audio quality. Should you be upgrading from older Realme Buds Air models like Air 7 or Air 8, you should notice better noise cancelling, better call quality and a slightly more solid build. That said, if you mainly use your earbuds for light music, calls and some videos, the extra cost may not be worth it unless stronger noise-cancelling is your top priority.
