In case you were waiting for clarity, the Vivo X300 FE and X300 Ultra are among the few high-profile smartphones slated for launch in the first week of May, and both carry more weight in The company’s lineup than the standard X300 and X300 Pro that arrived in the country last year. The X300 FE steps in as a compact premium-tier, building on the strong reputation of its predecessor, the well-received X200 FE. On another note, the X300 Ultra represents Vivo’s most ambitious smartphone yet and marks the company’s first “Ultra” debut in the country. It’s expected to sit firmly in the ultra-premium segment, going head-to-head with devices like the iPhone 17 Pro Max, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Vivo hasn’t been shy in teasing these smartphones, already confirming several key specifications. Leaks and rumours have further filled in the blanks, leaving little to speculation around the Vivo X300 FE and Vivo X300 Ultra. Here’s a quick roundup of everything that’s been teased, officially revealed, leaked, and everything in between.

The Vivo X300 FE and the Vivo X300 Ultra are both launching in the country on the same date, i.e. May 6th. The smartphones will be unveiled at an event in Delhi. Fans from far and wide can catch the action live via the company’s social media accounts or the YouTube video embedded below.

We won’t have confirmed India pricing for the Vivo X300 FE and Vivo X300 Ultra until their official launch, but they’re unlikely to be cheap. The Vivo X300 FE is all set to see a noticeable price bump over its predecessor, the X200 FE, which debuted at Rs 54,999. This product has already been unveiled in Europe at €999 (roughly Rs 1.11 lakh), though Indian pricing should be considerably more competitive. Even so, it’s reasonable to expect the X300 FE to land somewhere in the Rs 60,000 to Rs 70,000 range due to the increasing memory prices.

Per an Indian tipster, the Vivo X300 FE might launch in the country starting at Rs 79,999. It should be taken with a grain of salt, considering this will make the vanilla Vivo X300 (review), which offers a more capable chipset and camera hardware at just Rs 75,999.

As for the Vivo X300 Ultra, it’s expected to sit at the very top of Vivo’s lineup. In every sense, hardware, cameras, and positioning, it will be placed above the Vivo X300 Pro, which currently retails in the country at Rs 1,09,999. This naturally points to an even steeper asking price for the Ultra. Leaks suggest an MRP of Rs 1,99,999 for the Vivo X300 Ultra with an actual selling price of Rs 1,59,999.

The Vivo X300 Ultra will be a big-boy premium-tier, with a more capable camera system than the X300 Pro. This device will sport a massive circular deco at the back, which protrudes significantly courtesy the large 200MP primary and telephoto lenses. This device will provide 3.7x optical zoom and up to 105x digital zoom. This range can be further extended with an external Zeiss telephoto lens, sold separately. The lens will come in two variants: 200mm and 400mm, offering up to 17.4x optical zoom, which is quite spectacular on a smartphone. Vivo X300 Ultra with a 400mm ZEISS Telephoto Extender Kit

The rear camera setup will also include a 50MP ultrawide lens, and for selfies and video calling, the X300 Ultra will rely on a 50MP snapper in the punch-hole setup. This phone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, which is hands-down the most capable mobile chipset in the market right now. The X300 Ultra will also offer a massive 7,000mAh battery to light up that tall 6.82-inch 2K LTPO OLED display that bears a 144Hz refresh rate. This device will support 100W fast wired charging and 40W wireless charging.

Needless to say, the Vivo X300 Ultra will run the latest OriginOS 6 out of the box, with up to six years of software support.

The Vivo X300 FE is likely to arrive in the country with the same specifications as the European variant – all the leaks, official teasers, and confirmations point towards the same. This device has been redesigned to include a horizontally-aligned large camera deco on the back panel instead of the small vertical one we saw on its predecessor. This gives a new identity to This phone and even makes it look different from the other X300 smartphones in the lineup.

Furthermore, the Vivo X300 FE will sport a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 1.5k resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. Powering the device will lie the sub-premium-tier Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC paired with up to 12GB RAM and a 512GB storage option.

Despite its compact design, the X300 FE will house a 6,500mAh battery backed by 90W FlashCharge and 40W wireless FlashCharge features. This device will run Android 16-based OriginOS 6 out of the box, with support for at least four major OS and six years of security updates.

In optics, the Vivo X300 FE may sport the same Zeiss-backed setup as last year’s, including a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto unit. The front camera is also going to be a 50MP Zeiss lens. Like the other X300 models, the FE will also support a Gen 2 Telephoto Extender lens, which offers a focal length up to 200mm to capture portraits and images of distant subjects.

The Vivo X300 FE brings meaningful upgrades to the table, making it a compelling option on spec sheets, but its pricing will be crucial. It needs to undercut or clearly justify itself against the standard X300; otherwise, buyers may struggle to see why they should choose it over the regular model. As always, we will be reviewing both devices to see how well they hold up in the real world.
