In case you were waiting for clarity, vivo has teased the X300 FE in the country, confirming a green colour option and Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset.

Vivo has shared official teasers of the upcoming X300 FE on its X account, offering the clearest look yet at This product ahead of its India launch. The images show the phone in a green finish, which the company has confirmed will be exclusive to the Indian market.

More importantly, the teasers confirm that the X300 FE will run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip in the country, matching the global variant. That puts it in the same bracket as recent launches like the OnePlus 15R and iQOO 15R, both of which run on the same platform.

Vivo X300 FE main talking points and teasers

The design is also now clear. The X300 FE uses a flat back with a horizontal camera module that runs across the top, housing three sensors alongside ZEISS branding. The shift in design is easy to spot if you put it next to the X200 FE. The older model had a vertical, pill-shaped camera island sitting off to one side. The new layout spreads things out horizontally, making the rear look less top-heavy and a bit more deliberate.

It’s not a move borrowed from Vivo’s flagships, which have mostly stuck to circular camera modules. If anything, this feels like Vivo carving out a separate identity for the FE line rather than trying to mimic the standard, Pro and Ultra models.

There’s also a functional angle this time. We’d earlier reported that the X300 FE will come with a ZEISS telephoto extender that clips on via a case, and now a Smartprix report has shown the phone working with it. It’s a simple idea, but it opens up longer zoom without pushing the phone into bulkier hardware. The X300 Ultra, launching alongside the FE, has already been spotted with a similar setup in public, which suggests Vivo is pushing this camera accessory ecosystem across the lineup.

Vivo X300 FE technical specifications

The X300 FE debuted in China on March 4th and is seen as a reworked version of the Vivo S50 Pro Mini. The focus remains the same – keeping things compact without cutting back on core hardware.

A 6.31-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, staying on the smaller side by current standards.

Optional ZEISS lens attachments, which could extend zoom use cases beyond the built-in hardware.

A 6,500mAh battery with 90W wired and 40W wireless charging, which is quite large for a phone this size.

Vivo X300 FE expected pricing and availability

Vivo is expected to launch the X300 Ultra and X300 FE in the country in early May, with sales likely to begin around May 14th. The X300 FE is expected in 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB variants. Pricing will be key. The X200 FE started at Rs 54,999 and went up to Rs 59,999, while the X300 5G currently sits between Rs 75,999 and Rs 85,999. The X300 FE is likely to land somewhere in between, which would mean a step up from the previous generation without crossing into full premium-tier pricing.

The X300 FE keeps the size in check, adds a bigger-than-expected battery, and experiments with modular photography. If that combination works in real use, it gives the phone a clear angle.
