Worth noting for Indian buyers — with its India launch now just a few days away, the Vivo T5 Pro 5G is in the news with a fresh leak that reveals how much it might cost and what’s inside. Both updates suggest Vivo is looking to lift its T-series into slightly more premium territory.

As per tipster Sanju Choudhary, This device could start at around Rs 30,000, going up to Rs 36,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant. Vivo hasn’t officially commented on this yet, but reading the fine print on the phone’s Flipkart page tells us it’s true. One of the pointers disclosing the conditions of the marketing claims made by the company reveals the phone will be priced under Rs 37,000. This indicative range places the T5 Pro above last year’s Vivo T4 Pro 5G, which was introduced at Rs 27,999. This suggests Vivo is stepping away from its undercut-the-competition strategy and move closer to phones like the OnePlus Nord 6 and Realme GT 7, which aim to blend upper mid-tier hardware with premium positioning. That matters because the T-series has typically relied on pricing to stay competitive in a crowded mid-segment.

Geekbench listing confirms Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 and modest performance bump

On another note, tech blogger Anvinraj Valiyathara spotted This device, listed under model number V2568, on Geekbench, confirming the presence of a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip. The entry points to a 1+3+4 core configuration with speeds peaking at 2.71GHz. The 1,214 single-core and 3,146 multi-core scores are actually lower than what the Vivo T4 Pro recorded in our internal testing, which suggests that the new chip may not translate into a straightforward performance gain, at least in early benchmarks. That said, Geekbench scores don’t tell the full story, so we should wait for full reviews once the phone launches. The listing also shows Android 16 and 12GB RAM, aligning with current expectations for phones in this bracket.

Vivo has already confirmed a few headline features. The T5 Pro 5G will pack a 9,020mAh battery and a 1.5K AMOLED display, and it is set to become available for purchase via Flipkart after launch. The battery remains the standout on spec sheets. At over 9,020mAh, it goes well beyond what most phones in this segment offer, including the 6,500mAh unit on the T4 Pro, and even exceeding the Nord 6’s 9,000mAh mark, which turned quite a few heads with its launch recently.

The Vivo T5 Pro 5G is set to launch in the country on April 15th at 12 PM and it’ll be available via Flipkart. The higher price suggests Vivo’s next mid-segment phone is being positioned to appeal to people ready to move slightly upmarket within the Rs 30,000 – Rs 37,000 range.
