Breaking it down simply — samsung Galaxy A27 could feature a 6.7-inch punch-hole display.

The Samsung Galaxy A27 could launch in the country soon, as the phone has been spotted on the BIS certification website by 91mobiles. A BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification essentially means the product is safe, tested, and legally allowed to be sold in the country. The BIS listing comes just days after the phone appeared briefly on the Samsung Brazil website. With the BIS listing, we now know Samsung plans to launch the phone in the country, in addition to Brazil.

Samsung Galaxy A27 BIS listing

The BIS listing spotted by 91mobiles, as shown below, lists the model number SM-A276B/DS, where the A27 suggests the Galaxy A27 and DS indicates dual-SIM support.

Based on leaks, the Galaxy A27 is expected to keep a large 6.7-inch display but switch to a punch-hole cutout, dropping the notch from the A26. Performance may be where the more interesting upgrade lies. The phone could be powered by the 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, paired with 6GB of RAM, and run Android 16 out of the box. The A27 looks like a phone built for smooth, reliable everyday use over several years rather than benchmark bragging rights.

The rear camera setup could include a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, Samsung appears to be moving to a 12MP sensor from the A26’s 13MP, but the numbers don’t tell the full story: the new sensor is reportedly larger, which should mean better low-light selfie performance in practice.

That positioning is broadly consistent with how Samsung approaches this segment, i.e., polished software, a refined interface, and a reliable update track record tend to be its strengths compared to rivals that lead on specs-per-rupee. If dependability and software longevity matter more to you than gaming muscle or maximum hardware value, the A27 could be a reasonable pick. If raw performance at the lowest possible price is the priority, other brands will likely still have the upper hand.
