If you missed the launch, the Redmi K90 Max is set to launch in China this month as the third phone in the lineup. It’s part of the performance-focused Redmi K-series, which currently has the Redmi K90 and Redmi K90 Pro Max. Ahead of its debut, the Redmi K90 Max’s design has been officially revealed, showing off an all-metallic finish with an interesting camera deco. The Redmi K90 Max is also widely speculated to launch as the Xiaomi 17T in the country.

Redmi K90 Max specifications (expected)
The Redmi K90 Max in ‘Space Silver’ has been officially unveiled on Weibo. The design comes with a metallic finish with a large camera island. While some may compare it to the iPhone 17 Pro’s design, the Redmi K90 Max still manages to stand out with its own flair. The dual-camera setup is lined up vertically on the side with a circular cooling fan on the other end. It’s a minimalist look despite the visible cooling fan.
Redmi says that the K90 Max’s cooling system has a high-speed cooling mode with noise levels as low as 32dB. It’s also claimed to reduce the temperature by 10 degrees in 100 seconds. This phone also comes with an aluminum alloy frame with an ultra-narrow bezel design. Adding to this are IP66/IP68/IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
It looks like the Redmi K90 Max has been thoughtfully designed for heavy gaming needs with its cooling system, which should help with heat dissipation. Although targeted for power people, the Redmi K90 Max’s design still looks minimalist.
The Redmi K90 Max is teased to feature a next-generation premium-tier processor, although details haven’t been confirmed. This could be the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, which will go head-to-head with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. This phone is also confirmed to feature a 165Hz refresh rate display, making it apt for gaming. It could house a large 8,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging support.
With these specs, the Redmi K90 Max is shaping up to be a gaming-ready smartphone. This smartphone will be perfect for people who are into gaming and tend to spend long hours on their phones. Since the Redmi K90 Max is tipped to launch as the Xiaomi 17T in the country, buyers here might want to wait if they’re on the lookout for a performance-focused premium-tier.
