Realme Narzo 100 Lite 5G launching in India on April 14th with 7,000mAh battery, 144Hz display
Realme is launching a new affordable phone in the country in the form of the Realme Narzo 100 Lite, and here's what you can expect from This product.
Breaking it down simply — realme Narzo 100 Lite 5G will launch in the country on April 14th as the first phone in the Narzo 100 series.
The Realme Narzo 100 Lite 5G is launching in the country on April 14th, and Realme has already confirmed most of the key specs. This will be the first phone in the Narzo 100 series. Since the Narzo 90 lineup didn’t have a Lite version, this one effectively takes over from the Realme Narzo 80 Lite 5G launched last June.
The Lite models in the Narzo series are usually about getting the everyday experience right at a low price. This time, Realme is trying to push things further with a big battery size and smooth display in the affordable segment.
The Narzo 100 Lite 5G comes with a 7,000mAh battery, which is not a rarity but still not a given at this price. It should translate to fewer top-ups during the day, and less worry about battery drain if you’re watching videos or scrolling a lot, which is a general ask in the affordable segment. Realme says you can get up to 10 hours of video playback, and the phone also supports bypass charging and reverse charging. These aren’t standard features in this segment yet, so their presence here stands out more than the number itself.
On the front, you get a 6.8-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 900 nits brightness, and 180Hz touch sampling. That’s higher than what most phones around Rs 10,000 offer, where 90Hz and 120Hz are still more common. But as we’ve seen earlier, higher refresh rates don’t always mean everything runs at that speed. In most cases, only certain apps or games use the full refresh rate, while the rest run lower to save battery.
The phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, with a vapour chamber for cooling. Realme is claiming an AnTuTu score of over 560,000, which puts it in line with other entry-level 5G phones. It should be enough for daily apps, social media, and some light gaming. It also runs Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16 and includes AI features like AI Eraser 2.0 and AI Clear Face. These are becoming common across phones now, even in lower price segments. The camera setup is modest — a 13MP rear sensor with AI features. That’s pretty much what you’d expect here, given the company is compensating with the battery and display.
The phone is set to become available in Thunder Black and Frost Silver, as reported by us a couple of days earlier, and is set to become available for purchase via Amazon, Realme’s website, and offline stores. The phone could be priced around the Rs 10,000 – Rs 12,000 mark, though that will be confirmed at launch. In this range, it will compete with phones like the Redmi 15C 5G, Samsung Galaxy F70e and POCO M7 5G, which offer similar basics. If pricing stays around this level, the Narzo 100 Lite 5G could appeal to shoppers who care more about battery life and a smoother screen than camera performance.
