The OPPO F33 and F33 Pro are set to launch in the country on April 15th. Instead of a traditional launch event, the company will unveil the smartphones through a soft announcement, sharing details via a press release and updates across its social media channels.
While the exact pricing remains under wraps, the OPPO F33 and F33 Pro could cost anywhere between Rs 25,000 and Rs 35,000. Since the smartphones will come with different RAM and storage configurations, the pricing may vary. The handsets are going to be costlier than their predecessors, given the shortage of RAM and storage configurations.
At this price point, the OPPO F33 series will go up against the Motorola Edge 70 series, Nothing Phone (4a), Realme 16, POCO X8 Pro, and others. These are all strong contenders in the segment, with the Realme 16 even matching the F33 series in durability, thanks to its IP69K rating.
That said, the new F-series devices could stand out with their distinctive design approach. If you value aesthetics and like your phone to make a statement, it might be worth holding off on your purchase for now to see how the F33 series shapes up.
In the run-up to the launch, OPPO has already teased several details about the OPPO F33 and F33 Pro. The series is going to focus heavily on design and durability. It’s confirmed that the OPPO F33 Pro will be the first smartphone in the family to boast an IP69K rating, along with IP69, IP68, and IP66, to protect it against high-pressure jets and high-temperature liquids. Furthermore, This device is said to feature ‘next-level damage resistance’ against accidental drops and falls. This is attributed to the 360-degree armour body, combining an aerospace-grade aluminium frame, a reinforced internal structure, and a thicker protective glass layer. The rear panel touts a sturdier polymer build, enhancing overall durability.
OPPO has actively been teasing the design of the F33 Pro, and it is pretty obvious. This device has been redesigned with a large rectangular rear camera module, housing dual cameras and a ring LED flash. This device is set to become available in three colour variants: Misty Forest, Starry Blue, and Passion Red. The Misty Forest seems to have its name from the forest pattern around the back panel. The edges and display appear to be flat, similar to the other contemporary smartphones. OPPO F33
The display will boast AGC DT-STAR D+ glass protection, which is designed to offer superior scratch resistance and durability. The vanilla, OPPO F33, is likely to bear similar protection. That said, as confirmed, its design will be different from the OPPO F33 Pro. This device will flaunt a small squircle design instead of a large rectangular module. It will be similar to the OPPO F31, which came out last year. The OPPO F33 has only been teased in white colour so far.
As far as the OPPO F33 series specifications go, little has been confirmed so far. This device will run ColorOS 16 layered atop Android 16 out of the box. Leaks reveal a 6.57-inch flat AMOLED display for the smartphones, along with MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Max SoC.
The series will house a 7,000mAh battery, which is rated to retain up to 80 percent capacity after 1,830 charge cycles and use a self-repairing electrolyte technology to maintain battery health over time. It’s said to be backed by 80W SuperVooc fast wired charging to quickly juice up This product. There is expected to be bypass and reverse wired charging support as well.
On the optics front, the F33 series is set to feature a 50MP front camera with 100-degree FoV, offering 0.6x, 1x, and 2x focal options. Marketed as an “AI Group Selfie Expert,” This product is said to automatically zoom out when it detects two or more people in the frame, making group shots easier to capture. The phones are tipped to feature dual cameras, comprising a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary.
The handsets will also come equipped with features like Dual-View Video, Colourful Front Fill Light, Natural Light, Rim Light, Studio Light, and AI Portrait Glow. Other AI tools include AI Eraser 2.0, AI Reflection Remover, and AI Unblur.
