OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite to launch under Rs 25,000 in India; key specifications revealed
The OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite is now being revealed in part as it gears up for its launch in the country alongside the Nord CE 6. Here's what we know.
Worth noting for Indian buyers — worth noting for Indian shoppers — the Nord CE 6 Lite is confirmed to feature a 144Hz display and Dimensity 7400 Apex chipset.
OnePlus is set to launch the OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite in the country on May 7th, alongside the standard OnePlus Nord CE 6. Days before the event, the company has updated the Lite model’s microsite with its price band, key specs, and features, giving an idea of what the more affordable option in the lineup is about.
The OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite is being called the fastest phone in the Rs 20,000 – Rs 25,000 range, which means it will be priced under that price point.
OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite confirmed and expected specifications
The microsite reveals the Nord CE 6 Lite will run on the Dimensity 7400 Apex. OnePlus claims an AnTuTu score of over 10,30,000, which puts it in line with other upper mid-segment chips in this bracket. It ships with OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16. The company is also claiming up to five years of smooth usage, based on internal testing. Gaming numbers are a bit more grounded. The phone can reach 144fps in lighter titles like Subway Surfers, but heavier games such as BGMI and Call of Duty Mobile are capped at 90fps.
The display is a flat panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and a standard hole-punch cutout. The Nord CE 6 Lite includes a 7,000mAh unit, with claims of up to two days of use and stable health after 1,200 charge cycles. For cameras, it sticks to a simple setup. There’s a 50MP primary sensor in a dual rear system, with support for 4K video and 4K Motion Photos.
Differences vs Nord CE 6
The Lite model shares the same general direction as the Nord CE 6, but with some cutbacks. The standard Nord CE 6 moves to the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, adds a sharper 1.5K display, and brings in dual-axis OIS on the main camera. It also gets a 32MP front camera with autofocus and stereo speakers, which the Lite model skips. Battery is slightly larger on the Nord CE 6 at 8,000mAh, but both phones are clearly built around long usage.
The Lite version keeps the core experience intact but trims back on camera hardware and some premium features to stay within a lower price band. In the Rs 20,000 – Rs 25,000 segment, the Nord CE 6 Lite will go up against phones like the Redmi Note 15, Lava Agni 4, and Motorola Edge 70 Fusion. Against these, the Lite’s 7,000mAh battery is a clear differentiator. Most rivals in this range are still working with 5,000mAh to 6,000mAh cells, with only a few going up to 7,000mAh. The five-year fluency claim and Android 16 out of the box also give it a software longevity edge that few competitors match here. If battery life and everyday smoothness matter more than camera flexibility or extras like stereo speakers, this fits the bill.
