What do OnePlus Nord CE 6, CE 6 Lite bring to the table
OnePlus Nord CE 6
Starting with the OnePlus Nord CE 6, This device rocks a 6.78-inch 1.5K 10-bit AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Its brightness reaches 3,600 nits peak and 1,800 nits in High Brightness Mode (HBM). In comparison, the Nord CE 5 is limited to 1,430 nits peak and 1,300 nits high brightness. OnePlus notes that the display bezels have been shrunk to offer a more immersive experience.
On to the processor, the Nord CE 6 is powered by the 4nm-based Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, offering up to 2.7GHz clock speeds. The processor is paired with UFS 3.1 storage and either 8GB or 12GB LPDDR4X RAM. There’s also a 5,000 mm² vapour chamber on board to keep temperatures cool under heavy load. This phone borrows the Touch Reflex chip from the OnePlus 15 to offer a 3,200Hz instant touch sampling rate in supported games. Apart from that, the phone can play games like Subway Surfers, Clash Royale, Clash of Clans, and a few others at 144FPS natively. Left: OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite, Right: OnePlus Nord CE 6
To up the movie-watching and gaming experience, OnePlus has added stereo speakers this time around after completely omitting them on the Nord CE 5. Furthermore, This device comes with enhanced durability thanks to IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings and MIL-STD-810H certification. This is a similar level of durability found on the OnePlus 15 series.
Towards the back, the Nord CE 6 rocks a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary lens, while up front there’s a 32MP selfie camera. While the phone ditches the 8MP ultrawide found on the Nord CE 5, it gains 4K 30 FPS video recording support through both front and rear cameras, a useful addition for those who’re into vlogging or content creation.
Running the show on the OnePlus Nord CE 6 is an 8,000mAh battery, which is paired with an 80W SuperVOOC charger for quick top-ups. Since the battery is so large, it can also reverse-charge other devices at up to 27W speeds. Lastly, the phone runs on Android 16-based OxygenOS 16 software with a promise of two OS updates and four years of security patch upgrades.
With a starting price of Rs 29,999, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 faces direct competition from latest launches like the Vivo T5 Pro, Infinix Note 60 Pro, and Nothing Phone (4a), all of which sit around the Rs 30,000 to Rs 32,000 price bracket and feature the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset.
While the OnePlus Nord CE 6 and Vivo T5 Pro offer similar specifications in most areas, the Phone (4a), which is priced Rs 2,000 more, offers a robust camera system including a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom. The Infinix Note 60 Pro, on the other hand, adds a fun element to the design by featuring an LED interface on the rear.
The OnePlus Nord CE 6 stands out by rocking an IP69K rating, a smooth-flowing OxygenOS 16 software, and dedicated game optimisations by featuring a Touch Reflex chip.
OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite
The most affordable smartphone in OnePlus’ lineup this year, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite gains the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Apex, a suitable upgrade over the Snapdragon 695 found on the Nord CE 4 Lite from 2024. Just like the Nord CE 6, the CE 6 Lite gets a 144Hz refresh rate panel; That said, it’s an LCD display that measures 6.72-inches with FHD+ resolution.
In terms of endurance, the Nord CE 6 Lite gets a smaller battery compared to the Nord CE 6 at 7,000mAh. The battery is paired with 45W charging and also supports bypass charging for directly powering the phone’s motherboard to preserve battery health. For optics, the Nord CE 6 Lite deploys a 50MP primary camera, while up front there’s an 8MP selfie shooter. The rear camera can record videos in up to 4K resolution at 30 FPS, while the front camera is limited to 1080p 30 FPS video recordings.Just like the Nord CE 6 and previously released OnePlus phones, the Nord CE 6 Lite runs on Android 16-based OxygenOS 16, while packing several AI imaging features within Photos app, such as AI Eraser, AI Reflection Remover, and more.
The Nord CE 6 Lite edges out the iQOO Z11x and Vivo T5x in pricing, both of which have received price hikes and now sit at Rs 22,999. This makes the Nord CE 6 Lite one of the most affordable phones with the Dimensity 7400 to launch this year.
