Fresh off the announcement desk — post the recent launch of the Nord 6, the OnePlus Nord 5 has become one of the better value propositions in the mid-segment segment. Now, a listing on Swiggy Instamart has made it even more accessible. The phone is available under Rs 30,000 on the platform, making it a compelling buy with delivery within minutes.

As per the Nord 5 deal on Instamart, the phone can be bought at a final price of Rs 29,188 after a bank discount of Rs 3,399 and a no-cost EMI discount of Rs 1,420 on an MRP of Rs 34,009. SBI cardholders can split that further across six months at Rs 5,101 per month with no interest. Do note that the deal could differ as per locations and serviceability. Even though the phone is out of stock right now, it could be restocked soon, so shoppers should keep an eye out.

The Nord 5 launched in July 2025 at Rs 31,999, so getting it at Rs 29,188 is a Rs 2,811 saving from launch, with delivery in minutes.

OnePlus Nord 5 key features and specifications

The Nord 5 brought a Snapdragon 8-series chip to the mid-segment series from OnePlus for the first time. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is a proper upper mid-segment processor that handles gaming, multitasking, and sustained performance noticeably better than the Snapdragon 7-series chips that dominate this price band. At under Rs 30,000, that chip tips the scales in the phone’s favour.

The display is a 6.83-inch 1.5K Swift AMOLED running at 144Hz with 1,800 nits peak brightness and Gorilla Glass 7i protection. That’s sharp, bright, and comfortable to use outdoors. The 6,800mAh battery pairs with 80W SUPERVOOC charging, which means strong endurance and fast top-ups when you need them. Not every phone at this price offers 80W. The camera system covers a 50MP Sony LYT-700 primary with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 50MP Samsung JN5 front camera with autofocus, all capable of 4K at 60fps front and rear. OxygenOS 15 comes with four years of OS updates and six years of security patches, a longer runway than most competitors bother committing to at this price. The Plus Key is a small but genuinely useful touch, which is a programmable hardware button you can map to the flashlight, AI Translate, voice recorder, or whatever you actually use regularly.

The honest trade-offs are an IP65 rating rather than IP68 and a plastic frame instead of metal. Both are reasonable compromises to keep the price where it is.

The Nord 6 begins at Rs 38,999, putting the gap between the two at nearly Rs 10,000 at current Instamart pricing. For that, you get a 9,000mAh battery, a big jump from the Nord 5’s 6,800mAh, a 165Hz display up from 144Hz, and a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip.

At Rs 29,188, the Nord 5 is one of the more sensible buys in the sub-Rs 30,000 segment right now. A premium-tier-tier processor, 80W charging, a capable camera setup, and six years of security support is a combination hard to match at this price. If all-day-and-then-some battery life is your biggest priority, the Nord 6’s 9,000mAh makes a case. For most other shoppers, the Nord 5 at this price is the smarter call.
