OnePlus Buds Ace 3 likely to make their make their debut this month with battery and ANC upgrades alongside Ace 6 Ultra
The OnePlus Buds Ace 3 are likely to launch later this month alongside the Ace 6 Ultra smartphone in China. Here are the expected upgrades.
Fresh off the announcement desk — worth noting for Indian shoppers — the OnePlus Buds Ace 3 have been teased on Weibo, and are expected to launch this month alongside Ace 6 Ultra.
OnePlus is quietly reshaping its mid‑range audio line‑up with the upcoming Buds Ace 3, a pair of true wireless earbuds that lean harder into noise‑cancelling performance, battery life, and gaming‑style tuning. The company has teased the buds on Weibo, pointing to a launch later this month alongside the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra in China, and the numbers on spec sheets suggest a clear upgrade over the Buds Ace 2 without veering into premium‑tier pricing territory.
Visually, the Buds Ace 3 keep the same in‑ear, stem‑style layout OnePlus has used in recent years, with rounded stems, angled ear tips, and a glossy finish on These earbuds matched to a compact, matte, pebble‑shaped case. The case itself is expected to retain a front LED and a horizontally opening lid, sticking to a clean look.
On the spec sheet, the standout numbers are the claimed 55dB active noise cancellation and up to 54 hours of total battery life with the case. That pushes them beyond the roughly 49dB ANC of the Buds 3 and above the Ace 2’s 43‑hour figure, making them a solid fit for crowded commutes or long‑haul travel. The buds are also expected to keep Bluetooth 5.4, SBC/AAC, IP55 dust and water resistance, and dual‑device pairing, which means they should hold up fine for workouts and daily use.
For gamers, OnePlus is adding a dedicated FPS audio mode to sharpen in‑game cues like footsteps and gunfire, similar to low‑latency gaming modes seen on other mid‑range TWS sets. That’s less about fancy hi‑res codecs and more about smoother, more responsive audio when you’re deep in a mobile shooter.
In OnePlus’ current earbud portfolio, the Ace 3 sit between the affordable‑leaning Buds Ace and the higher‑end Buds 3. The Buds 3 boast multi‑driver setups, LHDC‑class audio, and slightly more tuned sound profiles, but they don’t stretch as far on total battery life as the Ace 3’s 54‑hour claim. If you’re chasing value, strong ANC, and marathon battery life over audiophile‑grade codecs, the Ace 3 make a more pragmatic choice.
The Buds Ace 2 launched in China in December 2024 at CNY 179 (around Rs 2,100). It already covered the basics well, including ANC, dual-device connectivity, low latency, and decent battery life for the price. Against rivals from Xiaomi, Realme and Redmi in the same price band, the Ace 3 lean on ecosystem synergy, tight pairing with OnePlus phones, smoother low‑latency modes, and consistent software updates.
