Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ renders leak online: five colours, different finishes
Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ design has been revealed through a new leak. Take a look at the complete details.
If you missed the launch, motorola is all set to launch the Edge 70 Pro in the country on April 22nd, as the third phone from the lineup. But this time, the spotlight might not be on just one device. A new Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ variant appears to be in the works as well. Its moniker was recently confirmed, and now, leaked renders have surfaced online, giving us an early look at what could be Motorola’s more premium offering in the Edge 70 lineup.
From what we can see, the Edge 70 Pro+ doesn’t drastically reinvent the design, based on the leaked renders shared by Evan Blass. It sticks to Motorola’s recent aesthetic with a slightly curved display and a square-shaped rear camera module. That said, the real shift this year seems to be in materials and finishes.
The renders reveal as many as five colour options: white, dark blue, a turquoise-like shade, brown, and maroon. More interestingly, Motorola appears to be experimenting with textures, including vegan leather, cloth-like finishes, and even wood-inspired backs. This aligns with The company’s broader strategy for 2026, where The company is focusing more on colours and finishes than a complete redesign. Even the upcoming Motorola Razr 70 is tipped to follow a similar direction.
What to expect from the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+?
The Edge 70 Pro+ was spotted alongside the Edge 70 Pro on the HDR10+ certification website. This confirms both phones will be able to produce more vivid colours, deeper contrast, and better detail retention in both bright and dark scenes while streaming content. We don’t know anything else about the phone’s specifications or features. But going by the naming, it’s likely positioned as a more powerful or feature-rich version of the Edge 70 Pro.
The upgrades could come in the form of a higher-end chipset, better camera hardware or tuning, a bigger battery, faster charging, and additional premium features like enhanced display capabilities. For now, though, these remain speculative.
Since the Pro+ details are still under wraps, the standard Edge 70 Pro gives us a good baseline of what to expect.
6.8-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, 144Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass 7i and up to 5,200 nits peak brightness.
6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery with 90W fast charging support.
50MP Sony LYT710 primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 3-in-1 light sensor. 50MP front camera.
MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset, paired with a large 4,600mm² vapour chamber cooling system.
IP68 and IP69 ratings, along with MIL-STD-810H certification.
With the Edge 70 Pro+, Motorola could be targeting a more premium segment, where it doesn’t have any products yet. The Motorola Signature is there, but it sits slightly higher with a starting price of Rs 59,999. So, Motorola could be targeting the sub-Rs 40,000 and sub-Rs 50,000 segments with the Edge 70 Pro+. This would give The company control over varied price segments in the mid-segment and upper mid-segment segments.
There’s no official confirmation yet on the Edge 70 Pro+, and whether it will come to India or not. So if you’ve been planning to buy the Edge 70 Pro, then you might want to go ahead. That said, you can still wait if you want a more powerful Edge 70 Pro+.
