Moto G87 specifications

This phone houses a 200MP primary camera with OIS and 2x lossless zoom support. This means that you will be able to take distant shots with the Moto G87, although the details may not be as precise as optical quality. Motorola says the phone’s ‘Ultra Pixel’ technology can deliver crystal clear results with 16x great light sensitivity for bright and vivid shots. The Moto G87 also offers multiple focal lengths, including full view (24mm), wide view (35mm), or standard view (50mm).

You also get AI features such as ‘Auto Smile Capture’. The Moto G87 has an 8MP ultra-wide camera for wide shots. It comes with a 32MP front camera for selfies. Overall, the camera setup is aimed at photography enthusiasts and social media.

As for the rest of its specifications, the Moto G87 comes with a 6.78-inch Extreme AMOLED 1.5K display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 5,000 nits peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass 7i protection. This phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset with up to 12GB of RAM. This should be good enough for regular tasks and everyday use. The Moto G87 has a 5,200mAh battery with 30W wired charging support. This battery capacity might seem modest among new phones, which offer at least 7,000mAh and much faster charging.

The Moto G87 comes with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. This device is also MIL-STD-810H certified for durability, and is said to withstand falls from up to 1.2m. This phone has dual speakers, which should deliver up to 280 percent more powerful sound than the previous model. On the software front, the Moto G87 runs Android 16 out of the box.

Motorola has yet to reveal pricing details of the G87, but it’s confirmed to hit the market in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America in the coming weeks. There’s no word on whether the phone will launch in the country, for now. While we don’t know the price yet, the Moto G87 may be worth waiting for if you want a camera-specific smartphone that works well for everyday use. If performance and battery life are also priorities, then you might want to consider alternatives.
