Lava to expand the Shark and Bold series

Several Lava feature phones are launching soon

Confirmed to launch this month, Lava will release the successor to the Shark 5G (review) in the form of Shark 2 5G. While most of the details are under wraps, the Shark 2 5G will pack a 6.75-inch display with an HD+ resolution. Apart from that, a large battery will also be in tow to ensure great endurance for everyday tasks and content consumption.

Also launching this month, Lava is set to bring a new 6GB + 128GB storage variant of the Bold N1 5G. Originally launched in memory configurations of 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB, starting at Rs 7,499, the upcoming 6GB + 128GB model could certainly be priced above Rs 10,000.

Providing 5G capability to This device is the Unisoc T765 processor, which is paired with LPDDR4X RAM type and UFS 2.2 storage speeds. Apart from that, This phone’s other main talking point included a bloatware-free and clean software, which the company is expected to retain even with the upcoming higher storage model.

In our Lava Bold N1 5G review, we noted that the phone offers reliable performance and clean software for basic and day-to-day tasks. Its display panel and battery endurance were impressive for the price.

Lava, in its official press release, states that feature phones currently hold a good market share across Tier 2, 3, and 4 cities, where the demand for such phones continues to rise. This makes it clear that even though Lava has been going all out in releasing smartphones under Rs 25,000 for the last few years, it’s committed to catering to the feature phone market.

Lava Hero Shakti 2026

Without revealing any glimpse of the design, Lava says the Hero Shakti 2026 will serve as an essential communication device, which will feature a 1.8-inch display, 1,000mAh battery, and Type-C charging.

Lava A7 Torch 2026

Moving on, the Lava A7 Torch 2026, as the name suggests, emphasises its flashlight capabilities by integrating a dedicated side switch to turn on the torch in emergencies. It comes with a larger display and battery over the Hero Shakti 2026 by rocking a 2.4-inch display and a 2,575mAh battery.

Moto A300 2026

The only feature phone the company has revealed the price of is the Lava Moto A300 2026. Coming at Rs 1,500, the Moto A300 is yet another handset aimed at people seeking a simple calling device that gets a 2-inch display, a 1,000mAh battery and a Type-C charging port.

Lava’s aim behind releasing these feature phones could be to cater to a price-sensitive market where consumers still prioritise long battery life and ease of use, even as their expectations shift towards better features and enhanced utility. That said, prospective shoppers looking for affordable-friendly 5G options or reliable feature phones can keep these upcoming Lava devices on their radar.
