Worth noting for Indian buyers — worth noting for Indian shoppers — infinix will launch the GT 50 Pro globally on April 24th as the successor to last year’s GT 30 Pro.

Infinix is getting ready to launch its next gaming-focused phone, the Infinix GT 50 Pro, in select global markets on April 24th. This product follows the Infinix GT 30 Pro, which arrived in the country in June 2025 and positioned itself as a mid-segment option with a clear tilt toward mobile gaming.

The GT 30 Pro started at Rs 24,999, sitting in the same bracket as performance-heavy options from iQOO and POCO, but stood out by adding shoulder triggers and bundled gaming accessories. The GT 50 Pro appears to continue with that approach rather than shifting toward a more mainstream setup.

Design-wise, not much has changed. The phone keeps a sharp, slightly industrial look, with visible elements on the back that tie into its gaming positioning. Two colour options have been teased so far, including silver and red. The rear houses a dual camera setup, while the front sticks to a hole-punch display.

Infinix GT 50 Pro key specifications and features

The display is a 1.5K flat AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. Infinix is also claiming support for 144fps gameplay in select titles, which lines up on spec sheets, though everyday performance will depend on optimisation and thermals.

The shoulder triggers return, now branded as “Pressure-Sense GT Trigger.” They sit along the right edge and are meant to replicate console-style inputs. This is still a rare feature in this price segment. Most competing phones focus on specs, not controls, so this remains one of the few clear points of differentiation.

Cooling is another area where Infinix is trying to do more than the basics. The GT 50 Pro includes a liquid cooling system, visible through the back panel. The idea is to keep temperatures in check during longer sessions so performance does not dip. Whether it holds up better than standard vapour chamber setups will only be clear after testing, but the intent is clear.

On the hardware side, leaks point to a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset paired with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. The display is expected to be 6.78 inches. Camera hardware, at least on spec sheets, looks secondary with a 50MP main sensor, 8MP ultrawide, and a 13MP front camera. The phone isn’t chasing the best camera or the slimmest design but is leaning into gaming features that a smaller set of shoppers actually notice.

If Infinix keeps it around the GT 30 Pro’s launch range, the added triggers and cooling could make it an easy pick for gaming-focused people. If it creeps higher, buyers will likely start comparing it with more rounded options that offer better cameras or stronger all-around performance. The launch timing is interesting as OnePlus is introducing the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra just a few days later on April 28th, and it comes with its own gaming controller.
